  1. I spent 20 years in the TV broadcast business back when we still used 3/4″ field and 2″ studio tape. I am getting back into the business in a small way to produce web based marketing videos and am trying to understand the new technology. Is there a web source or publication that I can review to help me get back up to speed with the lingo, editing software, cameras, mikes, etc?

    • Hey Patrick. Everything has certainly changed. Cameras are now 4K, smaller, and shoot amazing video. As far as web video, a great resource is, but it really depends on what you’re main area of interest is. Pro mics haven’t changed much. As far as editing goes, Adobe Premiere, AVID and Final Cut Pro X are great options, and as far as cameras go, it really depends what you’re shooting. DSLRs are popular but traditional video cams, 4K and cinema cams can work too depending on the client and needs.

trying to to find issues to enhance my website!I guess its good enough to use a few
