If you’ve ever recorded your voice and played it back, the first thing you probably thought was, “That’s not how I sound.”

I was around  seven when I heard my voice for the first time. Even at that young age, I remember disliking how I sounded. But after working in the news and hearing my voice over the years, I’m used to it.

The truth is, that’s how your voice sounds to everyone except you. It’s just the way it is.

What’s more important to remember is that your voice is a tool or instrument that can inspire, educate, inform, and even earn you a living.
