When I left the news business full-time in 2006, I found it very empowering to be able to create independent videos, and share the content online.
Nowadays, amateurs and professionals alike can not only create content, but teach, and empower others.
Social media allows us to connect in amazing ways, and it should not be underestimated.
A few months ago, I found a parent vlogger named Jendi Pagano who is teaching other mommy vloggers how to use online video to build their presence.
I was impressed by a couple of things:
- She never claimed to be a professional, and always shared practical tips that she learned from her own experiences.
- She is always looking for ways to improve her skills.
I subscribe to Jendi’s newsletter, and she recently asked someone in her community if they’d like to share some productions tips.
I immediately responded, and we set up a time to do a Skype interview.
In this interview, I share some basic editing and production tips for those who are getting started. You can read Jendi’s entire post here.
