If you own an iPhone4, I hope you are using it to capture video. One of the best features of the phone is its ability to capture HD video. For the size and convenience, the quality is amazing. Many people now use their iPhone video camera instead of using a pocket camera like the now defunct Flip, or Kodak Zi8.
You may want to share your footage online on your YouTube channel. To do this, you’ll need to import your clips onto your computer, and if you’re like me, you’ll edit it. The first thing you’ll need to do is connect your phone to your computer via the USB cord. Once the video video is imported into FCP, review the clips.
The first time I tried to edit iPhone HD video in Final Cut Pro 7, I experienced a problem with the video flickering red once it was imported. The tutorial below will show you not only how to import your footage from your iPhone into your computer, but I’ll show you how to fix the red flicker red glitch. There is free software that will fix the problem, and it will also eliminate the need to render iPhone video as well.
